Takvim report Fenerbahce are pushing hard to sign Leicester City forward Islam Slimani on loan but a deal could still be complicated.
Fenerbahce have already signed Andre Ayew on loan from Swansea City and he’ll be ready to face Benfica on the 7th of August in the Champions League qualifiers.
It’s reported the Turkish club now need to add a forward to their squad as they have only one senior striker in their squad in Roberto Soldado, but he’s not fully fit.
According to Takvim, Leicester City have said ‘yes’ in principle to Fenerbahce’s loan offer but a fee has yet to be agreed between the two clubs.
However, Fenerbahce are struggling to agree on a deal with Slimani’s agent, which has complicated things for the Istanbul club.
That would fit in with claims in Portugal that the Algerian only really wants a return to Sporting.
Takvim say if Fenerbahce don’t manage to loan Slimani, then they’ll switch their attention back to Tottenham Hotspur forward Vincent Janssen. The Dutch striker wants a return to Fenerbahce but he’s now only seen as an alternative to Slimani.
