Having arrived at Leeds United from Chievo Verona in January 2020, Elia Caprile left the Premier League side for SSC Bari in the summer transfer window.
The goalkeeper parted ways with the Whites without making an appearance for their senior team, but showed what he was capable of doing last season on loan at Pro Patria.
Reports coming out of Italy last month stated that Leeds sold the 21-year-old for a ‘laughable’ fee, but they stand to earn 50% of the fee from his future sale.
This financial boost for Jesse Marsch’s side could arrive as early as January if a report from Tutto Bari is to be believed.
The custodian has conceded 13 goals and kept four clean sheets from 13 matches this season, meaning his form has seen him double his market value, make his debut for Italy U21 in September and attract attention from elsewhere.
It is the latter that could please Leeds as Tutto Bari claim Caprile ‘will be the object of desire of many teams’ in the winter market.
Bari, for their part, ‘will try to resist’ any offers they will receive for the ex-Whites keeper.
If Caprile were to force a move in January or a big offer is made, Bari may not have a choice but sell him, about six months after signing him from Leeds.
