Just like Wolverhampton Wanderers continue to bring new Portuguese players to the squad, they’re letting some of them leave as well.

Following the transfer of Diogo Jota to Liverpool last month, it now seems it’s Ruben Vinagre who’s on his way out of Molineux.

Reports from Greece today say the player is about to join Olympiacos, and the deal looks pretty much done.

It’s with great excitement that To10 brings their report. They claim Vinagre is the ‘icing on the take’ for the club as this is one of the best transfers ever made in Greek football.

The fullback is reportedly joining Olympiacos on a one-year deal, and the move will include a buying option of €25m.

The big surprise from To10 is that Wolves rejected a €25m bid from Napoli for Vinagre just a few days ago, and now accept to let him go on a loan without having that amount guaranteed.

It’s claimed there’s an agreement between club and player, and something that helped the deal was the transfer of Daniel Podence. The winger had a spell at Olympiacos not long ago, and Wolves know how serious the Greek side are.

Other outlets such as SPORT FM 94.6 (via SDNA) have been confirming Vinagre’s move as well.
