Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mané and Roberto Firmino have less than 18 months left on their current deals at Liverpool, while Divock Origi’s contract expires after this season. It won’t be a surprise the quartet’s situation could see the Reds start looking for a new forward.
According to Bild, Jürgen Klopp has been looking for a new striker for ‘some time’ and has Nantes’ Randal Kolo Muani on his transfer target ‘list’. The Frenchman ‘fits the profile’ of players the Merseyside club are looking for in the market.
His contract expires in less than six months and he is also wanted by Eintracht Frankfurt and AC Milan. The German club have been trying to sign him for a year, but have been unable to meet the valuation set by the Ligue 1 side.
Kolo Muani’s advisors are handling a long-term contract offer from Eintracht Frankfurt and see that as the ‘best sporting prospect’ for the player.
His family, however, hesitates because they ‘really want to collect cash’. The player can earn more if he picks either Liverpool or Milan over the Bundesliga side.
Bild say Eintracht Frankfurt have to ‘fight with Klopp’ for the striker, but are aware it will not be easy to battle with Liverpool and Milan for the attacker’s signature.
Kolo Muani has seven goals and three assists from 18 league appearances for Nantes this season.
