News about Blackburn Rovers normally doesn’t get a lot of attention from the European press these days, but there’s a specific part of Italy which has been attentive to the club.
With Rovers boss Tony Mowbray speaking about the future of a few players this week, there’s a good reason why Torino want to keep an eye on the situation.
The Turin side are said to be interested in signing Jack Rodwell, who has his contract expiring this summer and is still to give a response to the renewal offer he’s got.
Mowbray has been quoted by the Lancashire Telegraph saying “He will assess his options but we can’t give him forever to do that.”
And the news were taken as positive by Torino Granata, claiming that Blackburn are now giving the 28-year-old an ‘ultimatum’ about the situation.
The website claims that Torino will be ‘waiting for him’ as the Italian side plan to sign the midfielder on a free transfer this summer.
