The negotiations between Chelsea and Betis for the loan extension of Charly Musonda Jr continue. All the parties seem to want the same thing, but the English club are still sorting the details to let the player go for one more season.
According to Marca, Betis’ last offer was made ten days ago, when the Spanish side did their best to get close to Chelsea’s demands.
The clubs have been talking in the last few days, but an agreement hasn’t been reached yet.
Marca claim that Chelsea have been asking for bonuses according to the number of the midfielder’s appearances.
It’s different from the permanent transfers, when the new club must pay a certain amount when the player reaches a number of games. The loan deal means the more he plays, the less Betis will have to pay.
That would make sure that Musonda gets all the game time the Blues expect, and is a practice used by Spanish clubs previously.
Despite the delay in the negotiations, Betis are still confident they can reach a deal and expect the extension to be signed as soon as possible.
