As Vasco da Gama and Chelsea take the final steps to conclude the transfer of Andrey Santos, we now get to see more updates coming from the Brazilian media.

Globo Esporte claims that the director from the Rio de Janeiro side is today travelling to São Paulo to sort final details of the move.

It’s said Paulo Bracks’ trip will work to ‘define’ Andrey Santos’ ‘sale to Chelsea’. He now ‘should meet’ the player’s agents to get the transfer done.

When Globo Esporte first reported the move, they claimed that the sale could get to €40m, even though it’s not clear yet how much of it would be in an initial payment and how much would depend on performance bonuses.

Journalist Lucas Pedrosa, however, soon came with a report claiming the amount is half of that, with Chelsea only paying €20m.

That’s backed up by Papo Na Colina, who brings a few more details about it.

They claim that the Blues are initially spending €12.5m on the signing, and the other €7.5m depends on add-ons. It’s said this information was ‘confirmed’ by a Vasco director and one of Andrey’s relatives.

In case that’s true, Chelsea are definitely making a great deal for the youngster, who’s widely seen as one of the most promising talents in Brazil.
