According to Posta, Fenerbahce are looking to replace Mathieu Valbuena by signing Manuel Lanzini from West Ham United.
It’s reported that after losing Valbuena to Olympiacos on a free transfer, the Turkish club are in the market for a creative midfielder and West Ham’s Lanziniis said to be an option.
Posta claims West Ham are looking to sell the Argentine playmaker on a cut-price fee as they are looking to clear out the squad before the start of next season.
That sounds very unlikely and could be wishful thinking coming from the Turkish side, or the media surrounding them.
Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli will reportedly fly to England to hold talks with West Ham for the 26 year old and he’s hoping he can convince him on a transfer.
Lanzini missed most of last season due to a knee injury and made only 10 appearances for the Hammers in the Premier League, scoring one goal.
He is under contract with West Ham until June 2020.
