This is a transfer story which has not been making a lot of noise in the English press, but is deinitely getting some huge attention in the North America.

Manchester City loanee Uriel Antuna is having a loan spell at Los Angeles Galaxy until the end of the December, and there’s a big dispute to land him for the next season.

Just yesterday, we were covering covering the quotes from Galaxy director Dennis Te Kloese, who has confirmed that they have the right to match any bids that City get for the player.

And it turns out that in the past couple of weeks, a Mexican side have been linked to Antuna as well. Claims from the local press said Chivas are keen on signing the winger and bring him to his home country.

Te Kloese has spoken to the media once again, this time to ESPN, and said he knows nothing about the interest from Chivas, although they may have contacted Manchester City directly.

“No, but in the end he’s a player who belongs to Manchester City, so if the communication is via Manchester City there is no problem”, he said.

“The most important thing is that continuity is given so that he continues to grow, it’s the main thing so that at some point he can become what everyone expects of him. Of course he’s a reinforcement, he’s a player who has already played several matches in the national team, here in the tournament he has always played, I think his participation would be useful for any team.”

According to the Mexican press, the Premier League side are willing to make US$10m with the sale of the 22-year-old.
