Kasimpasa vice president Hasan Hilmi Oksuz has spoken to Anadolu Agency and confirmed Aston Villa have taken steps to sign their player Trezeguet.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that Aston Villa are interested in the winger and Oksuz has now said the English side want to sign their star man.
As covered by Aksam, the Kasimpasa director revealed to Anadolu Agency they’ve rejected Aston Villa’s offer for the Egypt international: “Aston Villa and one other English club have made an offer for Trezeguet. We received two offers. First one was €5m and the second one was €7.5m. We rejected both. We are looking to get €15m from the sale of him.
“I think if he leaves the club, then he will move to other leagues because nobody in Turkey can pay our asking price for him.”
Along with Aston Villa, fellow Premier League side Watford have also been linked with a move for the 24 year old in this transfer window.
It’s expected he will leave the Super Lig club this summer and some of Turkey’s major clubs have also been showing an interest in the attacker.
According to previous reports Trezequet wants a move to the Premier League and he’s informed Kasimpasa about his desire to play in England.
The forward played 34 games last season in the league and scored 9 goals. He is under contract with the Turkish side until June 2021.
