According to a claim in the Turkish media, Fenerbahce have joined Besiktas in showing an interest in Everton forward Oumar Niasse.
In past transfer windows the Senegal international has been linked with a return to Turkey, and Fenerbahce are the latest Super Lig club to target the player.
Milliyet today report Fenerbahce sport director Damien Comolli has already opened talks to sign the Everton player ahead of the summer window. There’re no clarification whether those talks are with the Toffees or Niasse’s agents.
It’s reported the Turkish side are planning a clear out in the summer following one of the poorest seasons in the club’s history. Spanish forward Roberto Soldado will reportedly be sold in the summer whilst Islam Slimani will be sent back to Leicester City following his season long loan spell.
The Istanbul club then intend to bring in Niasee to fill the void left by the two attackers.
Niasse has also been linked with a move to Fenerbahce’s local rivals Besiktas with reports they too have held talks to sign the Everton man.
The player is contracted until June 2020 but is expected to move on at the end of the season.
