Unless something drastically changes at Stamford Bridge in the coming months, Tiemoué Bakayoko will have to find himself a new club in the summer.
Currently loaned at AS Monaco, the defensive midfielder doesn’t appear to be in Frank Lampard’s plans at Chelsea, and while the principality side have an option to make the move permanent, there’s been no indication they will do so just yet.
So, working on the basis that Bakayoko will return to London, Le10 Sport are reporting on Thursday that Paris Saint-Germain are thinking about bringing him back to France.
The 25-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Ligue 1 champions the summer of his transfer to Chelsea, but decided to try his luck in England instead.
According to the French website, Leonardo, Paris Saint-Germain’s technical director, is ‘interested’ by Bakayoko’s profile and talks have ‘already taken place with his representatives’ to discuss a potential move to the capital.
With players such as Julian Draxler, Ander Herrera or even Leandro Paredes potentially being pushed out, changes are expected in the club’s midfield in the coming months, and it seems the former Milan loanee is one of the names being seriously looked at.
