It seems there’s no way that Anderson Talisca can come out cheap in the next transfer window.

Back in the last summer, it was believed that he could move for around €20m, which sounded like a fair deal. But now this price is expected to rise a lot at the end of the season, no matter where he’s moving from.

The player is loaned by Benfica to Besiktas with a buying option for the Turkish side, with both clubs taking his good form as a chance to make some money in the summer.

The midfielder continues to be linked to English clubs on a weekly based. Wolverhampton Wanderers, Liverpool and Manchester United often get a mention as interested sides.

That’s why both Besiktas and Benfica plan to make that profit. Last week, we covered a story which claimed that Besiktas plan to buy him for the €21m buying option, and then make some millions by selling him right after.

Now Notícias Ao Minuto claims that Benfica are also planning to put his price up. They say that in case Besiktas don’t activate the buying clause, then the Eagles will demand €40m from the English clubs.

They list Liverpool, Manchester United and Wolverhampton Wanderers as potential candidates, although they don’t report any advanced talks with any of these clubs.

It’s obviously possible that Benfica are leaking this to convince Besiktas to activate the buying clause and end this saga. But the Turkish side should probably make sure that Wolves, José Mourinho or Jürgen Klopp are really interested in Talisca, otherwise it would be quite an obvious trap to fall in.
