It seems the Portuguese press still doesn’t know much about Andre Carrillo’s future.
Currently loaned by Benfica to Watford, the player can stay at the English side in case the Hornets activate the buying option, which stands at €20m.
However, Javi Gracia’s side are still not certain about it, and seem to be delaying the decision to the end of the season.
Website Notícias ao Minuto has a story today about all of Benfica’s possible sales in the summer market, and Carrillo is a pretty important piece in their plans, as this amount would definitely help the Eagles’ finances.
But the outlet claims that from all of the Benfica loanees, the Peruvian international is the one with the most uncertain future. The Eagles don’t seem to have a clue if Watford will want to keep him or not.
Even if the winger returns to Lisbon, his stay is ‘not guaranteed’. That means he can still be negotiated for, and that may offer Watford the chance to get him for a cheaper price.
Carrillo has two goals and two assists in 28 appearances for Watford this season. He had been an important player under Marco Silva, but ended up losing his place under Javi Gracia.
