Real Sociedad are ‘convinced’ there will be ‘one last offensive’ from Tottenham for striker Willian José.
Spurs are known to be keen on the Brazilian as they look to sign a replacement for the injured Harry Kane before Friday’s deadline.
They saw a bid rejected for the striker last week, with Real Sociedad holding out for a higher price than Tottenham seem to be willing to pay.
At the moment negotiations appear to be at an impasse, with reports yesterday stating that Tottenham have not been in contact for nearly a week.
Noticias de Gipuzkoa back up that claim today, saying there is no updates on the transfer story at the moment, with Tottenham yet to move from their original bid.
Indeed, Sociedad have made it clear they want the issue sorted by Thursday at the latest, (which we reported yesterday) as they want time to sign a replacement and have already been in contact with Fernando Llorente.
As yet, Tottenham haven’t made their move and Noticias de Gipuzkoa believe that could prove difficult given they’ve just signed Giovani Lo Celso and Steven Bergwijn.
They believe that ‘it cannot be ruled out’ that Spurs will try to avoid paying for José now and instead suggest a loan deal with a mandatory purchase option to try and get a deal done.
