Galatasaray are set to provide Fenerbahçe competition to sign Arsenal’s Thomas Partey in the summer window.

That’s according to Takvim, who state the Yellow Canaries have already made efforts in their pursuit of the 30-year-old.

It’s claimed Fenerbahçe have made an offer to the Arsenal midfielder, without providing any further details.

This was reported by Takvim yesterday and they relay that when discussing Galatasaray’s interest in Partey.

The Ghana international has struggled with multiple injuries this season, restricting him to less than 900 minutes of action from 16 games. His contract lasts until 2025 and, without a renewal, the next window will be Arsenal’s big chance to cash in on him.

After Fenerbahçe made an offer to the former Atlético Madrid man, their Istanbul rivals want to step in now. It’s claimed Galatasaray are ‘expected to contact’ the Gunners and ‘make an official offer’ to sign the player.

Partey was on Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe’s agenda in the past and the two Istanbul clubs are likely to set for tussle for his signature in the next window.

More details of this battle between the two teams are likely to emerge in the coming days and weeks.
