Fanatik report Galatasaray are trying to sign Manchester City midfielder Yaya Toure in the next window. The Ivorian will be out of contract this summer and Fanatik say the player has turned down Manchester City’s renewal offer.
The Turkish newspaper report the Premier League side want Toure to take a 50% pay cut and they have also informed he may not get regular football at the Etihad Stadium next season.
It’s been claimed Galatasaray are looking to take advantage of the situation, and that club officials are in constant contact with Toure’s agent Dimitri Seluk.
According to Fanatik, Galatasaray are planning to convince Toure by saying: ‘You’ll be the new leader of our club. We’ll create a new team for you your place in the team is never going to be in danger.’
The 33 year old was out of the picture at the start of this season, but after his agent apologised to Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola, the player was brought back into the team.
There’s likely to be a clear-out at Manchester City in the summer with several players out of contract.
It’s remains to be seen whether Toure will be tempted by Galatasaray offering him a chance to become the key player in their team.
