PSV Eindhoven are ‘closely interested’ in a move for Everton striker Cenk Tosun, with talks underway for a potential deal.
That’s according to Aksam, who say the striker is yet to make a ‘clear decision’ about his future.
Tosun’s contract at Everton is set to expire in the summer, and there is no intent from him or the Blues to extend it beyond that point.
He is free to negotiate with clubs regarding a pre-contract agreement this month, but Everton have been hopeful of getting him and his wages off the books earlier than the summer.
A return to Turkey with Besiktas has been mooted for months, but Aksam say that the Netherlands could be his next destination.
According to their information, PSV are ‘closely interested’ in the 30-year-old striker, and he is ‘likely’ to make the move to the Eredivisie.
Tosun, who ‘could not find a place’ at Everton, has not made his decision yet, so it seems any move is not imminent at this point.
Indeed, there is no mention of whether PSV are eyeing a move before the end of the January transfer window or a free deal in the summer. It is very much presented as the former, though.
Besiktas, meanwhile, are ‘following these talks closely’, having been determined to bring their former striker back to the club for some time.
They could still have a say in matters, with Tosun now seemingly offered an alternative to the return to Turkey that he’s been resisting.
