With Crystal Palace shareholder John Textor starting his job as the new owner of Botafogo, the clubs already begin to work on a partnership between them.
According to Globo Esporte, the Brazilian and the English sides have found an agreement for the transfer of Sebastian Joffre.
The striker, who belongs to Crystal Palace and is currently having a loan spell in Belgium, is expected to be just one of the signings as Botafogo ‘closed a package’ from clubs who are related to Textor.
It’s said four other players are still arriving from the Eagles, RWD Molenbeek and Florida FC. That’s seen as an ‘exchange of cultures’ for those sides and players.
Even though Globo Esporte doesn’t bring many more details on Joffre, outlet UOL points out the transfer initially is made on a loan until the summer, and he’s set to join Botafogo’s reserve squad.
The Bolivian player signed for Crystal Palace’s academy in February, but was sent immediately on loan to RWD Molenbeek in Belgium for the rest of the season.
