Juventus’ interest in Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has cooled off, according to reports from the Italian media.

Website Calcio Mercato claims the Old Lady are close to ‘giving up’ on signing the 26-year-old, whose contract with the Gunners expires next summer.

The story is pretty short, and the outlet doesn’t give a good reason for it. This week, the local press had already been saying that ‘it wouldn’t be easy to get a deal’ with Wilshere.

The Arsenal midfielder was seen as one of the many options who Juventus have to sign in the next summer. The list, as widely reported, has Liverpool’s Emre Can on top.

Since returning form his loan spell at Bournemouth last season, Wilshere has made 33 appearances for the Gunners, with two goals and five assists. Even if Juve give up on him, there should still be some interest from Italy, since AC Milan have been linked to the player as well.
