Turkish website Futbol Arena report Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is currently in Scotland to discuss signing Rangers forward Alfredo Morelos.
With Steven Gerrard preparing his squad for next season, the Rangers boss will not want to lose a key player this summer.
Veteran Kenny Miller has already left Rangers in this transfer window and Gerrard won’t want to be deprived of another forward.
It’s claimed Fenerbahce have becoming frustrated in their attempts to sign Sporting Lisbon forward Bas Dost and subsequently the Turkish giants have moved on to other targets, including Morelos from Rangers.
Fenerbahce official Cenk Ozcan has revealed Comolli is currently in talks with Rangers and the Frenchman is hopeful that he can reach an agreement with the Scottish Premiership side.
According to Futbol Arena, Rangers would want a permanent deal but Fenerbahce are only looking to loan the Ibrox star.
Morelos has constantly been linked with a move to Fenerbahce since the start of the transfer window.
