Takvim claim Fenerbahce are in transfer talks to sign Arsenal attacking midfielder Mesut Ozil as they look to get a loan deal for the German in the new year.
Last week we covered claims from Turkey that the 30 year old is considering leaving Arsenal and he’s ready to sell his house in London.
According to Takvim, Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli is currently in talks with Arsenal over Ozil’s wages and the Super Lig side are prepared to pay half of the yearly salary to make the move happen.
However, the Turkish newspaper report Arsenal are looking for Fenerbahce to cover a larger percentage if he was loaned to them in January.
Subsequently, Comolli is working hard to convince Arsenal, and Takvim say things could accelerate before the window opens.
Ozil’s Arsenal contract will expire at the end of June 2021, and previous reports from the Turkish press claimed Fener are looking to loan him for 18 months.
