Rui Patrício’s days at Wolverhampton Wanderers are numbered, if a report coming out of Italy is to be believed.
AS Roma are interested in the goalkeeper and intend the seal the deal for him, while also carrying out a few exit operations.
According to Sky Italia, the Serie A side have found an agreement with Marseille for Pau López and Cengiz Ünder, and these two deals should be completed by this weekend.
The two exit operations will allow Roma chief Tiago Pinto to ‘formalise the purchase’ of the Wolves custodian as the Portugal international is a player ‘strongly desired’ by manager José Mourinho.
It’s claimed López and Ünder leaving over the weekend will allow Pinto to secure the 33-year-old’s signing ‘between Sunday and Monday’.
Apart from López’s exit, the Italian capital club are also working to offload Robin Olsen, and their exits will only increase Patrício’s prominence at the Stadio Olimpico next season.
Sky Italia, however, don’t mention the fee Roma will pay the Premier League side for Patrício’s services.
