Krasnodar president Sergei Galitsky has spoken to Russian radio program 8-16 about his striker Fedor Smolov.
The Russia international was linked with a move to West Ham United in the last window, and it seems Galitsky could be willing to sell the player for the right offer.
Speaking to the Russian radio station, as covered by Russian sports outlet Sport Express, Galitsky said: “The journalists and other media outlets should respect Smolov. Because he’s handling all of these transfer talks so well, and deals with them professionally.
“He has done a lot of good things for our club. So if there’s a decent offer which will suit both parties, then we’ll think about his departure. If an interested club offers reasonable money to us, then we’ll of course consider it because we will show respect to Smolov and his wishes.”
During the last transfer window West Ham were reportedly in talks with Smolov, with claims the Russian was keen on a move to London, but he suggested otherwise at the time.
West Ham wanted to loan the 28 year old, with a right of redemption of £12m.
It was well documented West Ham wanted to sign a forward during the last transfer window, after the departures of Diafra Sakho and Andre Ayew, but nobody was brought in.
It’s likely the Hammers will be looking to bolster their attacking options in the next window, and Smolov could still be an option.
Smolov came in for flak last weekend from his own fans prompting his agent to say his client needs a move to Europe.
