Bayern Munich chief Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has refused to comment on speculation linking the club to Manchester City forward Leroy Sané.
The German was heavily linked with Bayern throughout the summer transfer window, with it looking like a deal was close at one stage.
However, any such hope was brought to a swift end when he ruptured the anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee in the Charity Shield win over Liverpool in August.
Sané has been working his way back to fitness since then and recently returned to training, with him set to return before the end of the season.
His return to fitness has seen the rumours of a move from Manchester City to Bayern resurface, with the belief that the German champions will return for the forward in the summer.
Rummenigge has refused to comment on the situation, though, with Abendzeitung-Muenchen reporting he doesn’t want to “trigger a discussion” at Manchester City.
“I don’t want to comment on players who are under contract with other clubs,” they report him saying.
“(Bayern will) make a transfer market, but we don’t have to finalise that in February. You will have to be patient.
“I do not want to deny or confirm that (Sané). We will do our job, and I am convinced that we will have a very competitive team on the pitch next year.”
