Galatasaray president Dursun Ozbek has spoken to Turkish media about the future of midfielder Badou Ndiaye.
Recent reports in the Turkish press suggested Newcastle United are showing an interest for the box to box midfielder ahead of January window.
Speaking to Sporx, Ozbek was asked about Ndiaye after the Senegal international was linked with Newcastle United: “I can confirm to you that there are no official offers for Badou Ndiaye. But I have also read the reports about linking him to Newcastle.
“This makes us proud because it means we have carried out a very good transfer, but he’s an important player of our team and we are not looking to sell him halfway through the season. It’s that simple.”
Ndiaye has impressed for Galatasaray this season, and his performances have, according to Turkish claims, put some Premier League clubs on alert, including Newcastle United.
The Premier League side were also linked with the player in the last window before his move to Galatasaray.
The Turkish media report Galatasaray would be looking for offers in the region of €15-20m from any club interested in signing the central midfielder.
So not a cheap deal for Newcastle United.
