According to Sporx, Trabzonspor president Ali Agaoglu is looking to sell players this summer due to the financial problems at the club.
The Turkish website say Agaoglu is likely to offload Jose Sosa, Juraj Kucka and Burak Yılmaz due to their hefty wages, and Birmingham City target Ogenyi Onazi is likely to follow.
Sporx report Agaoglu believes the Turkish club can’t afford to pay the wages of these players, and subsequently they will be sold or loaned out this summer.
It’s claimed Onazi will leave Trabzonspor at the end of the season to find a new club.
Yesterday, we covered reports from Turkey that Trabzonspor will demand €3m for Onazi and that Birmingham City are back in the race to sign the Nigeria international.
Birmingham came very close to signing Onazi last summer but he ended up staying at Trabzonspor after his work permit appeal was rejected. Ogenyi Onazi is expected to be at the World Cup this summer, which could help this time around.
The Championship club could face competition form Italy to sign the player.
