Turkish newspaper Dirilis Postasi claim Fenerbahce are interested in signing Everton central defender Yerry Mina in the summer.
The Turkish club have been linked with a move for Mina in the past but after last summer’s World Cup he joined Everton from Barcelona.
Dirilis Postasi report Mina is considering leaving Everton after falling down the pecking order under Marco Silva and Fenerbahce have reignited their interest in the Colombian international.
That could be wishful thinking. Mina had a very poor cameo against Newcastle United, but Silva still trusted him enough to start the match against Chelsea, and he did well.
Fenerbahce sporting director Damien Comolli has reportedly made enquiries to sign the player and the Super Lig club are ready to test Everton’s resolve with a loan offer.
It’s also reported Everton are open to loaning him to a club where he can play regularly and Fenerbahce could offer him that chance. Again, it feels like wishful thinking.
With Martin Skrtel’s contract set to expire at the end of the season Fenerbahce will be in the market for a central defender and Mina is the latest name to be linked with the club.
