Thursday has been a busy day in Germany regarding Bayern Munich’s interest in Leroy Sané, starting with Kicker‘s article first thing.
The outlet explained that contact between the Bundesliga champions and the Manchester City winger’s family, who advise him, had ‘long since taken place’.
The Germany international has apparently made it clear he would only leave Pep Guardiola to play for Bayern Munich, meaning he either goes to Bavaria or stays put.
Despite the Spaniard’s public backing of his player, claiming he wanted to keep him around, Kicker have learned he would actually be ‘very willing to kick him out’ as he feels Sané improvises a bit too much and isn’t as involved in defensive pressing as he should be.
All of this has been backed up by Bayern Munich chief, Uli Hoeneß, who confirmed to Süddeutsche Zeitung the club was currently ‘dealing with’ Sané’s ‘people’, which we gather means his entourage.
Signing the Manchester City forward would be the club’s first offensive recruit this season, as they prepare to lose both Franck Ribéry and Arjen Robben on free transfers in June.
