On December 28th, Calciomercato.it reported Real Madrid could consider recalling Dani Ceballos from his loan spell at Arsenal in the winter market.
It was also stated Juventus and Inter Milan are ‘at the window’.
These claims have been picked up by the English media, and are relayed in today’s edition of Mundo Deportivo.
Real Madrid loaned out several of their first team players in the summer and the newspaper states only Brahim Díaz, who is on loan at AC Milan, is ‘meeting expectations’.
Mundo looks at those Real Madrid players who are currently on temporary deals elsewhere and it includes Takefusa Kubo and Reinier, who have struggled at Villarreal and Borussia Dortmund respectively.
The report further states: ‘The last case of a [player on] loan from Real Madrid who can leave the club he is in is Ceballos.’
Mundo relays what has been reported elsewhere and backs it up by saying the La Liga winners are ‘studying’ removing the Spain international from the north London club. They can take him ‘out of Arsenal’ for ‘not having minutes’.
Ceballos has made 23 appearances in all competitions for the north London club, 15 of which have come in the Premier League and it includes nine league starts.
He is averaging 63 minutes per match in the league, and less than 40 minutes in the Europa League.
