Besiktas’ president just loves England’s rainy weather as he’s preparing to fly London again to finalise Samir Nasri’s proposed transfer to Besiktas, according to Fotomac and Sporx. After completing the loan signing of Benfica star Anderson Talisca, the Black-Eagles now want to add a creative attacking midfielder to their squad.
Nasri, also a target for Fenerbahce, is open to leaving Manchester City in this window, after struggling with weight issues earlier in the pre-season. Although City boss Guardiola praised his recent training performances, the Frenchman is not expected to stay much longer at the Etihad, just like Eliaquim Mangala and Joe Hart.
According to Fotomac, City officials told Fikret Orman that they’re willing to let 29-year old go, if Besiktas can convince Nasri to head to Turkey. Nasri is considering his options and like we’ve covered in this window there is also interest from France and Italy.
Nasri is also wanted by Besiktas’ fierce rivals Fenerbahce so Besiktas will want to act quickly to seal the deal. Nasri has scored 25 goals for City during his 5-year spell in Manchester, and won the Premier League title twice.
