On winter deadline day, Southampton completed the signing of Victor Udoh from Royal Antwerp. The Saints confirmed the 20-year-old will initially be part of the English club’s U21 side.
The forward arrived at Southampton after playing 300 minutes from 28 matches for the Belgian club’s senior team. He could be on the move again if a report from Yeni Asır is to be believed.
They state Göztepe SK are interested in taking the new Southampton signing before the Turkish transfer window closes on February 11th.
Southampton owner Sport Republic are the majority stake holder at the Turkish club.
This has seen the two clubs do business recently and the latest was İzzet Furkan Malak joining Southampton U21s on loan on deadline day. Juan has been on loan at Göztepe since last summer.
Juan and Rômulo Cardoso are currently injured, and the two forwards will be sidelined for four weeks. This has forced Göztepe to look for a new attacker and they have knocked on Southampton’s door for Udoh.
The report states the Premier League club are ‘keen on sending’ Udoh on loan to Göztepe to let him continue his development.
