Earlier this week, it was reported in the Napoli centric online circles the Serie A club were looking at Alexander Sørloth to bolster their attack should Arkadiusz Milik be sold.

Keeping the Poland international remains the priority in the south of Italy, but should they fail to do so, they could turn to one of two options: the Norwegian or Sardar Azmoun, currently contracted to Zenit.

In the process, we explained the situation surrounding Sørloth, who is currently on a two year loan at Trabzonspor, where he is very likely to end up permanently either this summer or the next.

We wrote: ‘It’s no secret Trabzonspor have the ability to sign the player permanently for €6m as per agreed in the loan deal with the Eagles, and it would be surprising if they didn’t do so in order to immediately cash in this summer.

We’ll have to wait and see, but if they don’t and decide to keep him on for an extra year, then said clause becomes compulsory if he plays in 50% of games during the 2020-21 season’.

That gives Trabzonspor all the cards, and while Crystal Palace still own the player, they’ve likely seen the last of him at Selhurst Park.

Either way, the Premier League club remain, for now, the one interested parties need to deal with, which is why Gazzetta dello Sport explain the Italians have ‘already made a first enquiry with the London side’ and the ‘possibility of concluding the affair would be favourable to Napoli’.

We’re sure Trabzonspor will have something to say about that, and they probably will also have a few choice words regarding the valuation the newspaper have placed on the 25 goal striker: €12m.

It’s just that if the Turkish side do pay Palace the €6m, we’d be shocked if they only asked for double that in a bid to sell him.
