On Christmas Eve, TNT Sports Brasil journalist Bruno Formiga reported Raphinha ‘will leave’ Leeds United for Bayern Munich in the winter market in a deal worth around €50m.
Five days later, Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari explained the Bundesliga winners ‘have interest’ in the Whites star, but ‘nothing is agreed’ just yet.
Fast forward to this week and Sky Deutschland have decided to take a look at the claims made by TNT Sports Brasil and others about the Bavarian club’s interest in Marcelo Bielsa’s man.
It’s claimed Bayern ‘bosses are actually dealing’ with the 25-year-old, but there can be ‘no talk of an agreement’ for an ‘imminent’ transfer in the ongoing window.
Julian Nagelsmann has Leroy Sané, Serge Gnabry and Kingsley Coman who can operate in wide positions, while Jamal Musiala can also be used there.
The Frenchman’s current deal expires in 2023 and extending his contract is a ‘priority’ for Bayern. If Coman decides to leave the German club, then Raphinha ‘could be a candidate’.
Indeed, the Bayern leaders are ‘actually dealing’ with the Leeds player, but Sky make it clear a ‘transfer is currently still a long way off’.
