Former Galatasaray sporting director Cenk Ergun has spoken to Radyospor and claimed Trabzonspor are close to signing Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye.
The Senegalese midfielder has been linked with a return to Turkey in recent weeks with reports the Super Lig side are keen to sign him on a loan basis.
Ergun, who played a key role in signing and selling Ndiaye whilst at Galatasaray, said Trabzonspor are close to getting a deal done.
Speaking to Hurriyet, Ergun said about the Stoke City player’s future: “From first hand I’ve learned Trabzonspor are looking to loan Badou Ndiaye and he’s very close to moving there. However, Stoke City are looking to get as much as they can from the player because they know his value in Turkey. So they are in no rush.”
The 29 year old returned to Stoke City in the summer after a season long loan spell with his former club Galatasaray.
However, it seems he’s looking to leave the Championship side in the January transfer window and a return to the Turkish Super Lig looks to be a possibility.
Ndiaye has made 10 appearances for Stoke City in the Championship this season and is under contract with the Potters until June 2022.
