Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Rafa Mir has been presented by UD Las Palmas on Tuesday, where he’s staying until the end of the season.

The presentation was made by the Spanish club secretary Toni Otero, who claimed that the player was ‘much wanted in Spain’, so the signing ‘has’t been easy’ (via Canarias 7).

Regarding rumours that the loan contract required a minimum amount of appearances for Rafa Mir at the club, Otero claimed that such clause does not exist.

The player has spoken a little about his time at Wolverhampton, and said that it was his own wish to return to Spain: “It was a big change, complicated, and although I had a good adaptation in the end, my idea was to come here, I wanted to have minutes in an interesting project.”

Mir has also claimed that he sees UD Las Palmas as “a good place to continue growing as a footballer.”

Signed from Valencia on a €2m deal in January, Rafa Mir had little impact at Wolverhampton, where he only made four appearances, all in his first month at the club.
