Fiorentina manager Vincenzi Italiano has insisted he isn’t listening to rumours regarding Dusan Vlahovic, despite Arsenal reportedly having an agreement in place for him.
Vlahovic is one of the hottest prospects in world football, with a series of impressive performances for Fiorentina putting him on the radar of several big sides.
Tottenham have been heavily linked with a move since the arrival of Antonio Conte as manager this week, with director of football Fabio Paratici also thought to be a big fan.
It is Arsenal who have seemingly taken the lead for the youngster, though, with a report from Italy today stating that they have an ‘initial agreement’ in place with Fiorentina over a transfer.
His claim was that meetings were held this week about a potential move, although the Gunners need to convince the youngster and his agents.
There is still work to be done on a potential transfer, then, although it seems they have moved ahead of the competition in the race for Vlahovic’s signature.
His current manager is taking no notice of the rumours swirling around his star man, though, insisting there is nothing ‘credible’ at this point in time.
“I don’t read the papers,” Tuttomercatoweb report him saying.
“I’ve seen Arsenal, Tottenham, Manchester City, Juve, AC Milan… everything and more.
“Right now, it’s just rumours and situations that I don’t find credible. The boy is focused, and you’ve seen how much he wants to do well.”
