Fotospor claim Wolverhampton Wanderers and Watford made offers to sign Antwerp defender Aurelio Buta during the last transfer window, but the Belgian club rejected the advances of the two Premier League sides.
The Turkish website claim Galatasaray are also interested in signing the 23 year old, yet it could be tricky to sign the player this summer given Antwerp’s stance on the right-back. Gala will likely part ways with Brazilian Mariano, and they are looking to replace with him Buta.
There’s no indication if Wolves and Watford will go back in for the youngster this summer after their offers of €5m were turned down.
However, Antwerp need to make a decision at the end of the season regarding Buta, as the player’s contract will expire in 2021.
Galatasaray’s board will wait before making an offer for the player, and they hope that contract pressure could see an offer of €2m accepted. That’s obviously less than half of what it’s claimed Wolves and Watford offered.
Buta has made 34 appearances for the Jupiler League side this season, scoring two goals and providing six assists.
