Around this time last year, Wolverhampton went on a big scouting spree in France, following Bordeaux around Europe.

We covered three separate claims of a Wolves scout being present at one of the Ligue 1 club’s games (you can find the last one here), all within the space of a month, suggesting they were keeping an eye on someone.

While there were a number of targets at their disposal, one of the more obvious ones was Aurélien Tchouaméni, who was breaking through in the first-team at the time and who is now a regular under Paulo Sousa at the tender age of 19.

Just this weekend, the youngster picked up an assist in their 1-1 draw against Reims, and there’s a great amount of interest starting to build around him.

That’s what Jeunes Footeux are claiming on Monday, explaining Sevilla, Wolverhampton and Inter are all keen on Tchouaméni.

So far, that’s all there is in terms of information, but it certainly makes sense considering the amount of scouting Wolves put in last year when it came to Bordeaux.

They’re normally more in tune with what goes on in Portugal, but with more and more ex-Ligue 1 players performing in the Premier League, it would make sense to try and get some of their talent earlier.
