Turkish newspaper Fanatik claim Reading owned Modou Barrow, who’s currently on loan with Denizlispor, has left the city.
The 27 year old reportedly walked out of his loanee club’s training camp shortly before the Kayserispor game at the weekend and he still hasn’t returned.
Fanatik believe the reason the Gambian winger has decided to go missing is due to unpaid wages over a long period.
According to Fanatik, the Denizlispor board will try to convince the Reading attacker to return to the club and they are currently working hard to contact him.
Barrow was an important member of the Denizlispor side before this incident, making 20 appearances in the Turkish Super Lig this season, scoring two goals.
The Denizil side currently lie 12th in the league table and look certain to remain in the top flight for next season.
His contract with Reading will expire at the end of June 2021 but his future with the Championship side looks uncertain.
