At the weekend, we covered claims made in Italy which stated Udinese’s Destiny Udogie is ‘getting closer and closer’ to Tottenham Hotspur.
It was also explained the north London club would allow the 19-year-old to rejoin the Serie A side on a season-long loan deal.
Gianluca Di Marzio explains Tottenham and Udinese have reached a ‘verbal agreement’ for the left wing-back’s transfer.
It’s claimed the deal will be ‘formalised in the coming days’, and after that, Udogie will return to Udinese for one season on loan.
Sportitalia journalist Gianluigi Longari states the Italy U21 international is ‘one step away’ from Spurs. The operation will be worth €20m plus €6.5m in bonuses for the Premier League side.
Longari again took to Twitter to explain ‘only medicals pending’, and then the player will sign a contract with Tottenham.

Meanwhile, Udinese director Pierpaolo Marino admitted the talks are underway for Udogie.
“There is a negotiation in progress, and talking about it when there are no formalities yet is very complicated,” he said, as quoted by Alfredo Pedullà.
“It is good that there is an important offer for Udogie, but Udinese are selling their players only for the right amount and tend to keep them for two years.”
