Just yesterday, we covered claims from Ecuador claiming that Moises Caicedo’s transfer from Independiente Del Valle to Manchester United was ‘all agreed’.
Due to the lack of updates, journalist Marco López Castillo came up saying the move was done, and things were silent because it would only be made official once the ‘legal’ issues were sorted.
Well, that’s what many people in Ecuador believe in, but some news today now says that the Red Devils haven’t even made a contact for Caicedo.
This time it’s journalist Roberto Omar Machado with the update. He claims that ‘no emissary, agent or director’ from Manchester United have ‘contacted’ Independiente Del Valle regarding the player.
That’d be definitely a big setback in the expectations from Manchester United fans, who were confident that Caicedo would be the first signing of the January transfer window.
Since it’s most of the European and the Ecuadorian media who continue to claim that the deal is close to happening, Roberto Omar Machado is probably very confident of his sources to dismiss the transfer like that.
Let’s now wait and see who’s right.
