For the past few days, the Ecuadorian media has been pretty quiet regarding Moises Caicedo’s transfer to Manchester United.

Instead of relaying their own reports, they’ve only been taking what’s said in Europe regarding the chase for the Independiente Del Valle starlet.

However, this silence could also mean that there’s nothing to report on, since the move is all done. That’s what journalist Marco López Castillo believes.

In his latest update, he claims the move ‘is all agreed’. He says there’s a deal between all parties, but the transfer will only be official and the contract will only be signed once everything goes ‘legal’.

By legal, Castillo probably means the work permit issues, since that’s probably the only possible problem that Manchester United would have regarding the transfer.

As explained by Sport Witness on Twitter, the midfielder’s appearances in continental tournaments for Independiente should make him eligible to feature in the Premier League.

Ecuadorian reporters started reporting the transfer before Christmas, claiming the Red Devils are paying around £4.5m for the move.
