Once said to be close to Chelsea, Saïd Benrahma could actually end up far away from London, with Leeds United his next destination.
The Brentford star, who has been one of the best players in the Championship this season, has caught the eye of many big clubs, and with Marcelo Bielsa’s side now promoted back to the Premier League, they are looking to bolster their squad with improved talent.
According to Le Buteur in Algeria, the Argentine has made Benrahma ‘a priority’ for this summer’s transfer window, clearly highlighting the wings as an area of need.
Not only that, but the website go as far as saying that Leeds ‘are preparing an offer of €26m’ in order to try and convince Brentford to part ways with their star.
We’ll have to see if that’s enough (we very much doubt it) but until then, there’s still one game left to play, which is all the more important as a win against Barnsley and West From dropping points to QPR could see the Bees clinch second spot, thus automatically getting promoted themselves.
If that happens, perhaps Benrahma would want to give the Premier League a go with his current team rather than move to Elland Road.
