Leeds United are eyeing a move for Valerenga goalkeeper Kristoffer Klaesson after reviving their interest in him this summer.
That’s according to Nettavisen, who cover the potential move to Elland Road for the 20-year-old Norwegian.
Nettavisen explain that Klaesson has become the undisputed number one at the club and his impressive performances means they are now in danger of losing their star man.
They’ve learned that Leeds have ‘shown interest’ in securing the 20-year-old this summer, having been keen ‘over a long period of time’.
They’ve ‘concretised’ that interest this summer, and the Oslo club are preparing themselves for Leeds to present a ‘concrete offer’ for Klaesson in the near future.
Marcelo Bielsa’s side already inquired about Klaesson back in 2020, something Valerenga sports manager Jørgen Ingebrigtsen later confirmed.
Reports in England have also claimed that Klaesson is an option as Leeds target a new number two to replace Kiko Casilla, who has moved on loan to Spain.
That is something Nettavisen are now backing up, with Klaesson’s name certainly one to keep an eye on over the coming weeks.
Thanks to @RonnyS0L for the heads up.
