The Pepe to Wolves rumour has made it all the way to Chile and Friday’s edition of La Cuarta newspaper.
Enzo Roco is moving to Besiktas from Cruz Azul, and the Chilean’s transfer is obviously news in his home country.
La Cuarta say the reason Besiktas have swooped is manager Senol Günes ‘urgently’ needing to reinforce in central defence.
And why does he need to do that? Well, it’s stated as being down to Pepe ‘having an offer’ from Wolves.
Pepe moved to Besiktas in the summer 2017 transfer window and was welcomed as a hero and given big wages on a contract lasting until June 2019.
As often happens when big Turkish clubs sign a big name and throw a lot of money at him, the novelty has worn off somewhat and Besiktas would certainly listen to approaches.
With the 35 year old being a Gestifute client it was natural Wolves would be dragged into the picture.
