According to former TRT Spor commentator and Fenerbahce journalist Feridun Nigdelioglu, Fenerbahce are very close to completing a deal for Arsenal attacker Mesut Ozil.
He claims Fenerbahce are in the final stages of talks with both the player and Arsenal, with only a few minor details left to be agreed.
Nigdelioglu says he expects Fenerbahce to complete the transfer quickly following serious discussions with the former Germany international.
Ozil has been linked with a move to Fener in recent months and it’s been documented in the Turkish media he supported the Super Lig club as a child.
Given their financial situation it’s likely the player will go out on loan to Fenerbahce.
Following the departure of Unai Emery, Ozil’s situation at Arsenal could have changed completely, but his performances haven’t been convincing.
The 31 year old has made 11 appearances for Arsenal in all competitions this season and provided two assists. His contract at the Emirates will expire at the end of June 2021.
