Tottenham Hotspur’s ongoing pursuit of Galatasaray defender Victor Nelsson continues to get regular coverage in the Turkish media.

On Monday, Sabah reported Spurs could take the centre-back by offering €15m plus Davinson Sánchez to the Turkish club, instead of paying a €25m flat fee.

This is further backed up by Milliyet journalist Nevzat Dindar, who explains that Tottenham have made an offer to sign the 24-year-old.

“There was an offer from Tottenham for Nelsson. If Tottenham did not give €25m, Galatasaray will instead say OK for Sánchez plus €17-18m,” Dindar said.

Sánchez’s deal expires in 2024 and he’s been linked with a move away from the north London club.

Spurs could include the Colombian as part of the deal to sign the Denmark international in this window. That’s what they plan to do, if a report from En Son Haber is to be believed.

It’s claimed Ange Postecoglou’s side have offered €15m plus Sánchez for Nelsson and the Istanbul club have accepted their proposal.

Nelsson ‘wanted to go’ to Tottenham and with Galatasaray reportedly accepting their offer, he seems to be on his way to London. The report says the Turkish club’s fans ‘are in shock’.

For now, only En Son Haber are reporting this and we would suggest waiting for other outlets, at least in Turkey, to either back it up or deny this claim.
