AS have been pretty certain today that Arsenal don’t want to lose Dani Ceballos in the winter market.
The Spanish newspaper published two articles on the matter and made it clear that despite the midfielder wanting to end his loan from Real Madrid, and despite Valencia being interested, the Gunners’ stance is that he’s going nowhere.
Super Deporte, the sports newspaper local to Valencia, now have their take. They’ve been able to back-up interest from Los Ches, and even claim there’s been a meeting about the potential move.
Cesar Sanchez, Valencia’s latest sporting director, met with representatives from You First, the agency which represents Ceballos, to find out the economic conditions of a move, and the chances of Arsenal letting him go.
It’s not reported what the outcome of the meeting was, but Super Deporte say the Premier League club’s preference to keep the midfielder could be a pitfall in any potential attempt.
Now, if his desire to leave is as great as is being suggested in Spain, he needs to convince Arsenal.
