AS are continuing with their insistence that Arsenal don’t want to let Dani Ceballos leave in the winter transfer window.

The midfielder arrived in London during the summer market on a season long loan from Real Madrid, but things haven’t gone according to plan for him.

Marca had earlier reported the Gunners wouldn’t stand in the player’s way, and Valencia have been presented as seriously interested.

On Thursday afternoon, AS have a headline saying: ‘Arsenal say ‘no”

They’ve already informed Real Madrid that they won’t be sending Ceballos back to Spain this month. The player is still keen to end his Arsenal stay, but if the club refuse there’s not an awful lot he can do about it.

Madrid, meanwhile, do have some worry about the lack of minutes he’s been getting but they don’t want to ruin the good relationship they have with Arsenal.

Given how much Ceballos specifically pushed for a move to the Emirates Stadium in the summer, it’s considered that it’s now his problem to solve.
